The University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Business School welcomes energetic, creative, and innovative professionals who are passionate about transforming the global business landscape. Gain the management expertise you need to lead diverse teams in global organizations, and drive sustainable solutions to tomorrow’s business challenges.

Admissions Requirements

You do not need any prior professional business experience for our traditional MBA program track but must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university—or from an international university. You are not required to submit GRE and GMAT scores to apply, but you certainly can if you believe they will strengthen your application.

The following materials are required in addition to the online application. Please note, that both MBA program tracks require the same application materials.

Resume

500–700-word personal statement

Two letters of recommendation

While not required, it is strongly preferred that one or ideally both letters of recommendation come from a professional/supervisory recommender.

Transcripts (unofficial transcripts are accepted for application review)

Accelerated Track Requirements

Unlike the traditional MBA track, which does not require a business background, the accelerated MBA track is available to applicants with a bachelor’s, master’s, or equivalent degree in business earned in the last seven years. Both tracks require the same application materials.

International Student Transcripts

All graduate applicants who have attended a college or university outside of the United States must submit official transcripts and diplomas (if available) from all colleges and universities attended to one of the two approved evaluation services. World Education Services or any NACES approved evaluators are accepted.

If a student completed their degree outside of the U.S., they are also required to complete an English proficiency exam. The exception is if a student already completed a graduate degree in the U.S. For more information on the English proficiency requirements and accepted exams, please visit our application instructions page.
