Student ID

All online students are eligible to receive a cane card. It is not a requirement, but if students wish to receive one, they need to complete the following steps in order to be eligible to receive one:

  1. Email Student Health at studenthealth@miami.edu and provide proof of required immunizations. You must include the name and email of your Academic Program Coordinator in the email. For more information on the required immunizations, you can visit this link or contact Student Health Services at studenthealth@miami.edu or via chat at studenthealth@miami.edu, as well as give them a call at (305) 284-5928.
  2. Student Health will review your submission and notify you if additional information is needed to complete your immunization requirements.
  3. Once you are in compliance with all required immunizations, Student Health will email your Academic Program Coordinator to initiate the cane card request. You will be copied on the email.
  4. Once your program coordinator submits the request for your cane card, it usually takes about a day for it to be ready. Once it is ready for pick up, OUR office will send you an email confirming that your cane card is ready to be picked up.
